Admissions Resources

Our admissions resources provide comprehensive guidance to help prospective students navigate the application process with confidence.

The Application Process

Providence Academy’s admission process is designed to admit qualified students who are capable of benefiting from the school’s college preparatory program and making a positive contribution to the school community. The Office of Admissions works to identify, attract, and retain a diverse group of students who possess the following characteristics: intellectual curiosity, willingness to serve others and the community with a Christ-centered heart, self-motivation and a solid work ethic, admirable character, special talents, and enthusiasm for involvement in the school’s extra-curricular activities.

1. Attend a Patriot Preview

The Patriot Preview helps parents and students learn about what God is doing in the lives of students at Providence, how the University Model can work practically for your family, and how to take the next steps to become a Patriot! Both parents, if applicable, must participate in a Patriot Preview to be considered for admission. We offer Lunch and Learn Patriot Previews intermittently as well as evening Patriot Previews generally monthly. Come learn about Providence and ask all your questions! Patriot Preview sessions include a free catered meal.

In-person Patriot Preview events will be held at the Patriot Collegiate Center (4801 W. Highland Knolls Rd. Suite 300, Rogers, 72758).

Tuition & Financial Aid

Providence Academy provides families with a classical, college-preparatory education in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. Our University-Model® of education allows us to provide a top-tier educational experience at a lower tuition compared to other private schools in Northwest Arkansas.

Providence Academy understands the sacrifice families make to provide their children with the highest quality Christian education. Since PCCA was founded, the board of directors has maintained a goal to stay below the price of comparable private, college-preparatory schools in the area.

Providence Academy seeks to enroll qualified students who are a good fit for our school, regardless of their family's ability to pay. A family who believes their child is strongly qualified for admission should not be discouraged from applying because they cannot afford the entire cost of tuition.

Our financial aid program seeks to make a Providence education accessible to all families. We strive to help families who cannot bear the cost of tuition on their own by providing tuition assistance relative to the demonstrated need.

The financial aid program serves a second purpose. PCCA believes that diversity of background and talents within the student body strengthens and enriches the school community. The financial aid program enables Providence to attract well-qualified students who represent the socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic diversity of our area.

A “family” for this purpose is defined as the household in which the children primarily live and are so acknowledged on federal tax returns.

Financial Aid

Dozens of students receive tuition aid each year to afford a Providence education. Providence uses a third-party financial aid evaluation company to assess all tuition applications. To receive aid for the first time, a student must be already enrolled in or accepted for admission to Providence. In addition, the student must exhibit exemplary citizenship and a positive classroom attitude reflected by above average grades. The student must also actively participate in the life of the school community. Finally, the Parents’ Financial Statement must continue to show demonstrated financial need.

Financial Aid is awarded on an annual basis, and parents must resubmit for financial aid each school year by the deadline. The priority deadline for applying for financial aid for the upcoming school year is April 1st. A second priority deadline occurs on May 1st. Applications will be accepted after this date, and awards are subject to available funds.

Financial Aid Application Process

What is the Arkansas LEARNS Act?

On March 8, 2023, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed Act 237, known as the Arkansas LEARNS Act, into law. The Arkansas LEARNS Act is bold and comprehensive and will transform education in Arkansas.  Arkansas LEARNS focuses on these critical areas for student success: Literacy, Empowerment, Accountability, Readiness, Networking, and School Safety.

Phase 1 was implemented for the 2023-24 School Year.

Eligibility requirements for 2023-24, the first year of the Educational Freedom Account, included:

  • First-time kindergartners
  • Students coming from F-rated school or Level 5 districts
  • Students coming from the Succeed Scholarship Program
  • Specific special populations (homeless students, current or former foster care students, students with disabilities, and children of active-duty military personnel).
Phase 2 was implemented for the 2024-25 School Year.Eligibility requirements for 2024-25 included:
  • All of the criteria from Phase 1
  • Students who were enrolled during the 2023-24 school year in a “D-rated” school
  • Specific special populations (children of military veterans, children of first responders, children of law enforcement officers)
If you believe your student is eligible based on these criteria to receive EFA funding for the 2024-25 school year, please click the button below to apply early for the 2025-26 school year. **EFA Applications opened on April 1, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year.

Although the participation cap for this year has been reached, the EFA application portal will remain open to help Arkansas families get a head start on planning for the future.

By applying now, families can prepare early for the next school year and secure their place in the process. You can apply at efa.ade.arkansas.gov.

Phase 3 will be implemented for the 2025-26 School Year.

Eligibility requirements for the 2025-26 school year will open to all Arkansas families with no limit on student approvals, subject to available funding as determined by the State Board of Education.

What is the Educational Freedom Account and how can I apply?

The Education Freedom Account program is a school choice initiative that empowers parents by funding students in private or home schools.

The Arkansas Department of Education has opened registration for Educational Freedom Account (EFA) funding. The EFA, made possible through the Arkansas LEARNS Act legislation, may be used by eligible families to cover private school tuition, fees, and some other required expenses. EFAs provide funding up to 90% of the state’s prior year per-student funding amount; for the 2024-25 school year, this represents approximately $6,856 per Education Freedom Account.

Who do I contact if I have questions?

If you have questions, contact the PCCA business office at businessoffice@providence-academy.com.

As LEARNS EFAs are brand new to our state, we want to stay in regular communication with our families regarding all aspects of the program. Below, we will post all of our LEARNS-related communication related to using the funds to meet tuition requirements.

"I am so glad I could come to Providence. I remember my first day at Providence. I was so nervous, but the girls from my class came and waited at the front desk for me. They all were so nice. I love them so much... I can say I enjoy a lot at Providence this year because of my host families help, teacher’s help, friend’s help and their parents. With my host family I could learn the American culture and their living. Sometimes it’s different from Japan. Sometimes I felt homesick, but everybody’s smile helped me a lot. I don’t expect more than this. I just felt God’s grace everyday through the people. I love Providence so much. I really thank God that I could meet the people. I am so glad next year that other foreign exchange students can come to Providence. I can’t meet them but I’m sure they will enjoy it a lot."
