The Middle School Years (Grades 7-8)

Middle school is a time of transformation, and at Providence Academy, we equip students to think critically, grow in independence, and deepen their faith. Through academics, athletics, and extracurriculars, students develop confidence, responsibility, and a biblical foundation that prepares them for the next stage of their journey.

Curriculum Highlights

Deepening Critical Thinking & Communication

Students refine their reading, writing, and analytical skills through classical literature, structured composition, and grammar studies. They engage in logical reasoning, learning to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively across all subjects.

Expanding Logical & Analytical Skills

Through the Trivium approach, students sharpen their ability to reason, evaluate arguments, and think critically. These skills are integrated into all subjects, preparing students for higher-level learning and thoughtful decision-making.

Engaging Science & Discovery

Students explore biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science through hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning. They develop scientific reasoning and an appreciation for God’s design in the natural world.

Historical Context & Biblical Worldview

From ancient civilizations to modern history, students study historical events through a biblical lens, connecting past lessons to present-day applications. Engaging discussions and primary sources bring history to life.

Advanced Mathematics & Problem-Solving

Students progress through pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry, mastering complex problem-solving and analytical reasoning. Math is taught with real-world applications, ensuring a deep understanding of concepts.
