Patriot for a Day Event

We look forward to welcoming students and parents to campus on in April for this special event!

Students will be able to shadow with a current student and complete their placement testing for admission (if desired and based on availability). Meanwhile, parents can attend a Patriot Preview lunch, participate in a Q&A session with current Providence parents and administration, and tour the campus. This event allows your family to complete multiple steps of the application process, all in one day!

FAQ:

Q: What should my student wear?

A: Your students are free to wear whatever they would like!  However, as our students will be in uniform, your student may be more comfortable in something nicer than athletic shorts and a t-shirt.

Q: What should we bring?

A: PCCA is providing lunch (pizza for students, Chick-fil-A for parents)!  Please send a jacket or sweater for your student, in case a room is warm or cold.  You may want to also send a water bottle (water only).

Q: What should we expect?

A: Your student will be matched with a same gender, comparable grade Student Ambassador.  He/She will get to experience an on-campus day in the life of a Providence student and get to interact with peers!

Q: What about Kindergarten?

A: Since there is a large difference in PreK aged students and Kindergarten aged students, prospective Kindergarteners will not stay for a full day.  They will get to experience a short part of class, lunch, and recess (the parts they tend to remember anyways!).  They will then have an opportunity to take their placement test (low stress, conversational environment) before joining their parents.  While students are not testing they will experience STEM and Fine Art specials.
