Technology

Technology is an integral part of our increasingly complex information society, and it enhances and supports the goals in the Providence Academy Mission: “to partner with parents in a classical, college-preparatory education to equip students with a biblical education, all to God’s glory.”

Providence students are becoming equipped to use innovative technology effectively and wisely to create, present and share content, facilitate research, improve and encourage communication and help organize information to develop the skills needed to succeed.

High school students at Providence participate in a "Bring Your Own Device" program called i-Providence. The i-Providence initiative affords ninth through twelfth grade students the opportunity to bring the device of the family’s choice, whether it be an e-reader, tablet, or pc or Mac laptop. Many of the books, readers and texts, on the booklist for Providence can be acquired for electronic download to these devices. If parents prefer, they have the option of only using hardcopy textbooks and readers for assignments, or they can use a combination of electronic and hardcopy books at Providence at these grade levels.
