Senior Thesis

The senior thesis represents the finishing touch to a Providence student's education for each senior. It is the ability, as Quintilian referred to Rhetoric- "the good man speaking well".

This oratory speech is a 10-15 minute presentation. At the conclusion of the student's thesis, a panel consisting of Providence faculty will enter into a question and answer discussion with the student.

As part of the Rhetoric phase of education at Providence, the student will be responsible for defending and supporting their senior thesis. It is a required part of the Providence Academy education, and occurs in the spring.  Each thesis should provide the panel the ability to view the student's critical thinking skills, in-depth research, excellence in presentation style, and an ability to communicate effectively. The topics must be approved by the Providence advisory committee.
The event is open only to the Providence families and students.

Volunteer Hours

Starting with the class of 2013, 100 Hours of community service are required for High School students to graduate with full honors.
