The University Guidance department at Providence considers it an honor to assist students as they prepare to take the next step in their scholastic endeavors. The staff is available to help with questions about high school, as well as partnering with the families to identify the different universities that will best meet the needs of the student.
Towards the end of the logic years at Providence, students at Providence are assigned a university counselor to begin the process of developing their own personalized “4-Year Patriot University Blue Print”. This strategic plan will help guide students during their Rhetoric years at Providence, and provide the needed plan for choosing the right university and field of study.
In addition, services provided through the University Guidance department are the following:
- Individual and group meetings to outline the university-selection process for students
- Identifying individual needs for each student utilizing multiple sources
- Match interests and strengths of the students to possible majors and fields of study
- Researching specific colleges & universities
- On-campus essay and resume-writing skills for college and scholarship applications
- Techniques and steps to best prepare for college admissions testing
