Our Crest and Mascot

Crest:

The Providence crest is the symbolic heart of the academy.  

It signifies that all areas of the school point to the cross. The following Latin words found in our crest are also cornerstones to Providence Academy:

 

Scientia (Knowledge): Proverbs 2:10 - “For wisdom will enter your mind, and knowledge will delight your heart”.

 

Intellectus (Understanding): Proverbs 2:11 – “Discretion will watch over you, and understanding will guard you”.

 

Sapientia (Wisdom): James 1:5 – “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him”.

Providence Mascot:

The Patriot mascot reflects the proud heritage of our school, as well as the commitment to excellence that all students strive for at Providence Academy.
