(K-6th Grade) University Model 2-Day On Campus:

Students attend class on-campus T/TH in a University-Model format, where they are taught by professional teachers. On M/W/F, students complete detailed assignments off-campus. Parents act as facilitators to ensure the course assignments are completed by the student and returned to class. Teachers maintain office hours, as well as open lines of communication (phone, email, in-person) with students. In addition to academic courses on T/TH, lower school students can register for numerous PCCA electives, extracurricular courses, and athletics. The days of the week (M-F) these classes are held vary by each course.

(7th-12th Grade) University Model 3-Day On Campus:

Students attend class on-campus M/T/TH in a University-Model format, where they are taught by professional teachers. Students work independently on W/F to complete assignments either on campus in labs, or they have the option to complete their work off-campus. This University-Model approach to education that is implemented at PCCA mirrors the design of the finest universities in the world, such as Harvard, Cambridge, Yale, and Stanford. Teachers maintain office hours, as well as open lines of communication (phone, email, in-person) with students. In addition to academic courses, upper school students have the opportunity to register for numerous PCCA electives and extracurricular courses. The days of the week (M-F) these classes are held vary by each course. Students also have the opportunity to play for our various Patriot Championship Athletics teams. Practice times for our athletic teams vary by sport.

Please note – While Providence Academy recognizes home schooling as an option of education, PCCA is not a home school model (just as the University of Arkansas is not a Home School Model of Education). Providence Academy is a leading college-preparatory, K-12 school that utilizes the University-Model system. The University-Model system of education has been in place in the United States since Harvard was founded in 1636. The University-Model School (UMS) approach to education for K-12 has been in place in the United States since the early 1990’s (founded by Grace Prep Academy in Arlington, TX). The UMS education model continues to produce outstanding graduates, with numerous graduates attending Ivy League Schools and U.S. Service Academies.
